Here’s a class that I’ve thoroughly been enjoying thus far.

16mm Film! It’s great being able to see orphan films that have been out of the public eye for such a long time. We basically get to watch films that in many cases haven’t been seen in years. You also get a great sense that your doing something relevant (in this case deciding whether or not a film deserves to be archived by the UO Libraries). We evaluate the condition of the films, determine any copyrights and judge the their cultural relevancy. It’s literally like looking through a doorway into the past. This is the first time the course has been offered and it is a wonderful learning experience. Taught by Elizabeth Peterson!
