Zoom Get it poppin’ this Saturday February 25th with Beats and Brushstrokes!The Emerging Leaders in the Arts Network is putting on this special event at the Old Whiteaker Firehouse from 7PM-11PM. Beats and Brushstrokes is the 3rd annual fundraiser put on by the Network. A silent auction will be held featuring locally made art from re-purposed records and record sleeves. Live music as well, with Eugene’s own DJ Leftovers and DJ Place on the ones and twos and Portland’s The Sleeper Smiles performing a set. Be sure not to miss this one. I have a feeling it’ll be a lot of fun and it’s a great excuse to get a little more familiar with the Whitaeker District, which is turning into one of the best hangout spots in Eugene. There’s a $5 cover charge, which will include food or drinks. All proceeds for the fundraiser benefit professional arts development activities for The Emerging Leaders in the Arts Network.
